Kado is a serene district with plenty of posh houses in phase 2 of the Federal Capital City (FCC) Abuja.
The neighborhood is beautiful and enjoys a prime location in Abuja city. In parts, lush open spaces are the eminent feature here. The area has residential and commercial elements.
Kado has good infrastructure, including a widespread road network.The journey to Abuja Central Area takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Ring road 2 is also close, connecting the district with other outer neighborhoods like Galadimawa. Ahmadu Bello Way and Shehu Yaradua Way pass through the area.
It shares borders with Jahi in the north, Mabushi in the east and Jabi in the south. Gwarinpa and Life Camp lie to the west.
A number of well-known housing estates such as Kado estate are sited here as well as several recreational spots.
Part of The Jabi Lake is in this district. The artificial lake is one of the most popular hangout places in the city, with many amenities available in and around its vicinity.

The FCT Fish Market, also known as Kado Fish Market, sits to the south of the district. Here you will get a great selection of fish types. The market is one of the biggest in the capital.
Further notable sites are Next Cash & Carry, Wold Park and Julius Berger Water Front. Several other commercial and social activities take place, inside the many high-quality hotels and educational establishments in the neighborhood.
